A Visit to Gurdaspur Court Complex: An Inspiring Journey for Slum Children
An Educational Visit that Ignited Young Minds: Slum Children Visit Gurdaspur Court Complex
In a heartwarming initiative aimed at empowering underprivileged children, the Child Welfare Council organized an educational trip to the Gurdaspur Court Complex on August 5, 2024. This special day provided children living in slum areas with a rare opportunity to explore the judicial system and interact with legal professionals, opening their eyes to new possibilities.
The children were warmly welcomed by the Hon’ble District & Sessions Judge, Sh. Rajinder Aggarwal, and his esteemed team. During their visit, the young participants were introduced to the functioning and structure of the courts. They visited various courtrooms and even observed live court proceedings — an exciting and eye-opening experience for many of them.
Judge Rajinder Aggarwal took the opportunity to share words of encouragement with the children. He explained the vital role education plays in shaping one’s future and shared practical insights on how, with hard work and dedication, anyone can aspire to become a judge, lawyer, or respected member of society. His inspiring words left a lasting impact on the children, many of whom expressed newfound aspirations to pursue careers in law and justice.
This initiative highlights the importance of such exposure visits, especially for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. By witnessing the legal system in action and engaging with members of the judiciary, these children gained both knowledge and motivation. It reinforced the message that no dream is too big, and with determination and education, they too can build a brighter future.
The Gurdaspur Court Complex remains committed to supporting such initiatives that promote awareness, education, and social responsibility among the youth.
