Children's Library: Nurturing Minds, Empowering Futures
Education is the foundation of personal growth and societal progress. While skill development equips individuals for employment, access to knowledge expands horizons and fosters ambition. Recognizing this, the Child Welfare Council of Gurdaspur, under the visionary leadership of Honorary Secretary Mr. Romesh Mahajan, has taken a significant step towards holistic youth development by establishing a modern, well-equipped Children’s Library.
This library is much more than a collection of books—it is a space designed to inspire, educate, and empower young individuals, helping them supplement their vocational training with essential academic resources.
Creating Opportunities Through Knowledge
Each day, over 100 students participate in various skill development programs such as computer training and beautician courses, building the practical abilities necessary to secure employment or launch their own businesses. However, technical skills alone are not always enough to succeed in today’s highly competitive world. The Children’s Library has been established to fill this gap—providing young learners with access to quality educational materials that complement their practical training.
The library offers an extensive collection of resources aimed at enhancing general knowledge, preparing for competitive examinations, and supporting higher-level academic aspirations. This initiative ensures that every young person has the opportunity to not only learn a trade but also develop their intellectual potential, paving the way for a brighter future.
