Recognizing this vital need, the Child Welfare Council of Gurdaspur has taken a significant step toward empowering the youth by providing affordable and accessible computer training courses at Bal Bhawan. This initiative aims to equip young individuals with the essential technical skills required to thrive in the modern job market, while also offering free computer education to underprivileged children.

The Child Welfare Council firmly believes that every child and young person deserves equal opportunities to succeed, regardless of their socio-economic background. Unfortunately, many children from underprivileged families face barriers to accessing quality education and technical training, limiting their future prospects.

To address this challenge, the Council has made special arrangements to offer free computer training to children from economically weaker sections. Since 2008, Bal Bhawan has been at the forefront of providing highly affordable computer training courses, ensuring accessibility to students from all walks of life. These programs cater to a wide range of learners, from school students looking to build their foundational skills to young adults preparing to enter the workforce.

The available courses include:

DCA (Diploma in Computer Applications) – One Year
A comprehensive program that covers computer fundamentals, operating systems, internet applications, and more.
CCA (Certificate in Computer Applications) – Six Months
An ideal course for beginners, focusing on basic computer operations and essential software tools.
CCO (Certificate in Computer Operations) – Three Months
A short-term program designed to impart practical computer operation skills.
Tally – Six Months
A specialized course for students interested in finance and accounting, focusing on the popular Tally software used in businesses worldwide.
Punjabi Stenography
A unique offering aimed at preparing students for stenography-related careers, with a focus on the Punjabi language.

These courses are taught by experienced instructors, ensuring that students receive both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical training. The teaching methodology emphasizes real-world applications, preparing students not only for academic success but also for immediate employability.
